Little Gourmet

Amazingly, we have a little meat eater in the family! Here is proof positive...

We made pasta with meat sauce and used a jar of some delicious, homemade pasta sauce from a friend. It was chockfull of vegetables to disguise them and tasted like a slice of heaven. I took some noodles and sauce and cut them into little bits and put them on her tray. No hesitation from her. She just dug right in.
She is still learning how to maserate the food, but she just keep picking up pieces and feeding herself. Meanwhile in Maxwell's corner of the table...plain noodles. Here is hoping she turns him around!

What a deliciously, sweet face!

Isabel is 9 Months Old

Here she is, our little Pixie.
She weighs 16.08 pounds and is 27.17 inches long.
Her weight is following the 15th percentile growth curve and her height is in the 32nd.
Overall she is doing great and right on track. She will be long and lean, just like her big brother!

You can just make out her 2 new teeth on the bottom.
She is eating solids like she has known all along what to do with them. We are far more adventurous with her then we ever were with Maxwell. Maybe she will turn him around.

Our sweet, happy, inquisitive little girl is getting bigger and brighter everyday. She ADORES her big brother and laughs her hinder off everytime he comes near her. He even runs to her when she falls over and covers her in kisses just like we do. Of course, she isn't taking any of his things away from him yet, so we will see if it lasts.
We love our little pixie!!

She Is On The Move

It has been about 3 weeks now since she really started crawling for real. At first she kind of pulled herself along. Hardwood floors were a challenge for her. Then we went and stayed at a friends house for a few weeks while they were away and the rugs made all the difference. She is really moving now.

Terry took these pictures of Isabel following the cat, while I was at work. Maxwell never really showed an interest in the cat until he got older. Isabel is fascinated!

The cat of course, could really care less.

Isabel doesn't care, she just wants her cat!

Misty bobbed and weaved and so did Isabel.

I am sure she is thinking, "really kid, not gonna happen."

"Oh, wait...what is that thing daddy is holding? Maybe I should check that out!"

"Hey daddy!"

She has started downing the Downward Dog Yoga position, so standing up or pulling herself up, is rapidly approaching. She is growing fast.

Sunny Day Sandbox

The weather has been fantastic lately, so we have been taking advantage of it.

He doesn't start out naked but after a peepee accident, the pants come off and it isn't long before the rest follows.
Is there anything cuter then a naked baby?

This is his "no more Paprazzi" picture!

Let's hope the weather holds for a few years.

Happy Easter

I know, we are a day late. Haven't I always said we aren't slaves to the calendar? We even had our Easter a day early. Thanks to the city of Snoqualmie. We have been going to their Easter egg hunt for 3 years now, on the Saturday before Easter Sunday. Maxwell was totally into this year.
(Sorry about the pictures. Forgot my camera and had to use my phone.)

He waited so patiently for the darn rabbit! He was 10 minutes late this year. He did ride in on the fire truck though and Maxwell loved that.

Eyeing his route for the most eggs.

I think I counted 15 or 16 eggs this year. After the hunt was done he gave some of them to a littler boy that was near us. He only had a couple and Maxwell wanted to share.

Like a pro, he knows what is inside now. The spoils of war! We only let him have 3 pieces of candy. That was too much! Shortly after the next picture there was a HUGE meltdown! Followed by a walk home and a 3 and a half hour nap. I wonder where he gets that from? ;)

This is Maxwell's friend River. They sat together on the fire truck that brought in the Easter Bunny.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and a wonderful Easter. The weather sure made it extra enjoyable. We have been thoroughly enjoying the sun and spending lots of time outside.
