Isabel is 6 Months Old

Well, I made it another month. My emotional roller coaster has been on overdrive. Amazing what sleepless nights will do. Things are beginning to look up though. Isabel has reached that magic 6 month mark. Those of you with children will understand. At 6 months her little body is now capable of going up to 12 hours over night without a feeding. We are slowly working our way up to the magic number. Last night I was able to sleep 6 solid hours! What a dream!

She weighs in at 14.2 pounds and measures 25.67 inches.
She is in the 43% for height and only 15% for weight.

Everybody says she is tiny, but we love our little Pixie!
Maxwell still dotes on his baby sister and even let her snuggle his best friend, Froggy. We are so excited to see how their relationship progresses. He is such a good big brother.

Isabel is Rolling Over

So Isabel is finally rolling over. She has done it a few times and usually without anyone of us seeing it happen. She just miraculously appears on her other side. She has also started talking our ears off. She babbles constantly. Maxwell keeps asking, "how do we get her to quiet down?" Well, we don't little buddy! She is going to keep babbling until words come out. Here are a couple of cute pictures of her from last week. Sorry about the quality. I took them with my cell phone.

She has finally discovered her toes. For the last 2 to 3 weeks, everytime her toes are naked she shoves them into her mouth. Her she is sucking her big toe with reckless abandon. Just add sucking noises and you just about have the full effect. Notice how she is holding on to her foot?! Atta girl!

She is so close to sitting up by herself. Still a little top heavy and sloooooooooowly falls over, but super cute.

Everybody that sees her comments on how tiny she is. I am anxious to see how her stats are measuring up next week. I can't believe I have made it 6 months as a mother of 2. Man is this exhausting! Wouldn't change it for the world. I love both of these kids so much, I could burst!

Smart Boy

***Shameless Proud Parent Alert***
The following is a post about being a proud parent. Goofy, I know but read on if you dare.

So yesterday morning Maxwell asked for french toast for breakfast. I, of course, obliged. I love french toast. My aunt Donna used to make killer toast. Anyway, I set down Maxwells plate and he started eating. A few minutes later he calls out, "look momma, a letter L. A big letter L." I went over to the table to see what he was talking about and sure enough...

...that's my smart boy!

Chocolate Monster

We have finally succeed in creating a chocolate monster. Luckily for us Ben and Jerry's has super small Maxwell sized servings. Truthfully he really only has about 5 bites, then he says all done. But he loves having his own little container to eat out of.

He is also very Lego obsessed!
Here is a family effort built crane. Mommy and Maxwell built it originally. Daddy made some excellent improvements.

This is Isabel's favorite Maxwell face. She laughs her hinder off when he sticks out his tongue!

Desperately Seeking a Haircut

Terry and I have been at odds about how Maxwell should have his haircut and what it should look like. It has now gotten so long it has its own personality. We are calling it the Lou Ferrigno, Incredible Hulk hair. I have put my foot down and it is getting cut today! I have been working on Maxwell. Getting him ready to have it cut by the pretty new lady at the barber shop in town. Terry has a bit of a crush on her, plus she cuts good hair. If they come home with no new dos. I am doing it myself. I just can't stand it anymore!
